Our Teaching Methods

Over at Marhaba, we work hard to provide quality educational experiences and environments for both children and adults. With our high quality programme in place, our children are happier, behave better and learn more.

  • Provides experiences which support children's learning in areas such as physical skills (hand/eye coordination), art (patterns, symmetry), science (gravity, stability), etc.
  • Water play develops early maths and science concepts. Children participate alongside others with no expected end result or product.
  • Maths is taught using ideas and concepts that are everywhere in life - we don't really sit down with children and 'do maths'. We teach them through concepts of counting, number, sorting, sequencing and pattern making.
  • Allowing kids to pretend to be other people and act out their feelings and events. In doing so they help make sense of what is happening in the world around them.
  • A creative method of play that allows our kids to be creative and expressive whilst expressing their moods and feelings. It's also a great way for them to experiment with colour and texture.
  • Snuggling up with children and reading them stories from the Quran, Prophet biographies and Islamic events. This is a key method to assist children in building up knowledge about their Islamic culture and symbols.
  • Arabic is taught in many different creative ways - e.g. the use of painting, playdough and other games.
  • An important type of play that allows children to move, order, turn or screw items to make them fit. It allows children to take control of their world by mastering the objects provided.
  • Assist children in understanding that physical activity is fun. Enjoyment and participation at this age can lead to a lifetime of fitness and participation in sporting activities..
